Wonderful entertainer and by all accounts a wonderful man.
I used to watch him and Mike Douglas when I was a kid - he was a class act.
He will be missed...

Aren't you glad to be old enough to not only remember Merv Griffin and Mike Douglas but appreciate them as well? I thought they were both great.
Absolutely! There really aren't daytime shows like that anymore. The Rosie O'Donnell show was the closest, but after that the other shows have a different vibe.
